All of us have a favorite domestic beer, craft beer and even international beer. When you think of an international beer, what is the first beer you think of? It's easy to automatically think of Corona because of the picture above, but beers like Red Stripe, Guinness, Heineken, and many others are international beers. A new study shows each states favorite international beer, so let's take a look.

A new study from Zippia shows each states favorite international beer. Most of the states really like beers that come from south of the border in Mexico. There really were just three international beers that are favorites throughout the United States of America. Those three beers are Corona, Modelo, and Guinness.

What Zippia found was that 32 of the United States picked Corona as their favorite international beer. Most of the southern States prefer to drink Modelo when they want to drink a beer that's international. A good amount of northern states like to go Irish and prefer Guinness as their favorite international beer.

What about Iowa and Illinois? Iowans picked Corona as their favorite international beer. Illinois on the other hand agreed with most of the southern states and like Modelo.

To determine each states favorite international beer, Zippia used Google Trends and looked at 30 popular beers world wide. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Zippia looked at results from 2019 to make sure there was no media or pandemic influence on people's preferences. In 2019, Corona was the dominate international beer.

Zippia also dug a little deeper and looked at each states favorite least common international beer. Iowa's favorite least common international beer is Skol (what?). Illinois' favorite least common international beer is Zywlec (double what?).

You can find more information and the rest of the states favorite international beer (popular and lest common) on Zippia's website.
