In 2021, I think we can all agree that emojis are turning into a sort of universal language. According to the most prestigious study out there right now,  Iowa has one emoji that is the favorite of users. I'll be honest...it is a pretty boring and dare I say basic emoji.

The number one emoji throughout the country was the crying laughing emoji. According to this study it had about 180, 415,170 mentions across all of the United States. So, this was the essential favorite all across the country.

Following close behind is the regular crying face. This was not a close race because the latter emoji had nearly 60 million fewer mentions than the former.

Coming in at number three nationwide is actually Iowa's 2nd favorite emoji; the red heart emoji. At the time of this study, the classic emoji actually had approximately 71,801,023 mentions.

But just to remind you...

Iowa's favorite/most used emoji is in fact the red heart emoji...besides the classic laughing/crying emoji of course.

I know what you're thinking...this might be the most boring or overused emoji on the face of the planet. I'll have to agree with you on that one. There are so many other unique and interesting emojis, but this is a classic.

Roseanne Barr Abandoned Iowa Mansion in Eldon, IA

After seeing the current state of the property on Facebook, I was amazed that such an extravagant project could be so quickly overtaken by nature. Only two hours away from Waterloo, this abandoned field could have hosted some of the coolest and elite Hollywood parties in the Midwest. The current photos were taken by Gable Fry on a recent trip he took.
