How can a cereal that is 'magically delicious' be making people sick? The New York Times reports that the FDA is looking into reports that thousands of people have become ill after eating the General Mills cereal Lucky Charms.

The FDA's investigation comes after more than 3,000 people claim they got sick after eating the popular cereal. The Times reports that those reports were made on a website called IWasPoisoned.com. Numerous reports on that site list symptom of sickness including diarrhea, stomach pains, nausea, and vomiting. The FDA says that it has received more than 100 reports about Lucky Charms this year through its own reporting system.

General Mills, who manufactures the cereal, issued a statement of their own this week. The Times reports that the company has done an internal investigation and had "not found any evidence of consumer illness linked to the consumption of Lucky Charms". A spokesperson also urged anyone who has experienced problems to please contact General Mills directly so the problem can be dealt with.
