The school year is well on its way, and many new challenges have presented themselves. Teachers are still trying their best to give students great opportunities.  I have had some amazing teachers when I was in school, but I have to wonder how were the schools for teachers? A new study from WalletHub has ranked how well each state is suited for teachers.

 Iowa ranked just under Idaho.

Sadly, Iowa found itself at the 26th spot putting it in the bottom half of states. There were a few ways this study was done, with income growth potential to the pupil-teacher ratio, some surrounding states ranked pretty well.

Illinois and Minnesota ranked higher than Iowa with Illinois hitting the top 10 and Minnesota placing 19th.

South Dakota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Missouri all ranked under Iowa with those states hitting 27th, 31st, 32nd, and 45th.

Other ways these statistics were gathered were also explained by WalletHub

In some states, teachers are more fairly paid and better protected against the current pandemic than in others. Those states are less likely to face a revolving door of teacher turnover.

WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia based on 24 key indicators of teacher-friendliness. Our data set ranges from teachers’ income growth potential to the pupil-teacher ratio to whether the state has a digital learning plan.

The top five states were as follow,

1. New York

2. Utah

3. Washington

4. Pennsylvania

5. New Jersey

The bottom five states were as follow,
