Home Improvement Retailer In Wisconsin Closing 8 Locations Soon

Many brick-and-mortar stores have closed since the COVID-19 pandemic. We've been dealing with high interest rates and stubborn inflation. The economy has been tight, and homeowners have decided to put off major home repairs for the time being. That's what's leading to some of these places closing up shop.
LL Flooring Files For Chapter 11 Bankruptcy
The latest casualty is LL Flooring, formerly known as Lumber Liquidators. The flooring giant filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. After not being able to secure a buyer, it became clear the best path forward was to liquidate assets to pay debts. Chapter 11 rules state they must find the best offer or solution for the business and its assets. Store closing soon sales have begun across the country.

Locations In Wisconsin
LL Flooring had 410 locations across the United States in December of 2020. 8 locations in Wisconsin will be closing soon:
- Appleton
- Madison
- Menomonee Falls
- De Pere
- Sun Prairie
- Eau Claire
- Kenosha
- West Allis
The liquidation process will happen quickly.
LL Flooring expects the liquidation of their assets to last about 12 weeks but could vary on location. The 30-year-old store once was a formidable competitor with Lowes, Home Depot, and other department stores. The company will soon be a thing of the past.
