The 30 Worst Movies of the Last 30 Years

You know what they say: One’s man’s trash is another man’s treasure. That said, if any of these movies are treasure to you ... we have very different taste in movies. And treasure. Like, the most different taste possible.

That’s because today on ScreenCrush we’re counting down the 30 worst movies of the last 30 years. From the mid-’90s to today, here are the films that made us regret buying a ticket (and probably question our life choices a little bit).

Almost every genre imaginable is represented. Superhero movies? Check. Dreadful spoofs? Yes. TV adaptations? Yup. Sequels. Absolutely. Horrible film versions of beloved novels? Oh yeah. Naughty puppets? Somehow, yes. Video game films? What list of the worst movies of the last three decades would be complete without them? We’ve even got The Avengers. (Not those Avengers, relax. There was another Avengers. A bad Avengers.)

Putting together this list was a real “it’s a dirty job but someone’s got to do it” moment. Luckily, everyone who works for ScreenCrush is a raging masochist. Like, it’s on the job application. “Do you like writing about movies? Do you love TV?
