Something Strange Spotted by Hikers in Garden of the Gods

Garden of the Gods is one of the best, but also one of the most remote hiking areas in Illinois. That was the setting for a strange sighting that's just been shared by two hikers who saw and heard things they can't explain in that area.

This is the newest update shared by the Bigfoot Field Research Organization. It was just posted a few days ago, but the actual encounter happened on October 2, 2021. According to the eyewitness testimony shared, the two hikers were deep in the Shawnee National Forest when they began hearing noises apart from the typical wildlife sounds. They swear they heard wood knocks, rocks being thrown and even a tree being completely toppled. It was then that the story got scarier:

"That’s when we heard 4 very clear whoops and howls that both had us frozen in place. The first noise we heard sounded like a growl then soon followed a loud howl-like whoop, then other another one just 500ft away."

Think this is just the result of a wild imagination? The hikers gave exact coordinates of where they heard these strange sounds.

One of the hikers added that he and his wife had experienced strange sounds on those trails in Illinois before, but could never definitely find out what was causing them. They finished their testimony saying "there is definitely something in the Shawnee National Forest." I think many who have also hiked in that area would agree.
