Linn County farmers and landowners are invited to a hands-on estate and succession planning workshop on Tuesday, December 9, hosted by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in Linn County.

The session starts at 5:30 p.m. at 1770 Boyson Road in Hiawatha and includes dinner with registration.

The workshop is designed to help farm families protect what they’ve built and plan for a smooth transition to the next generation. Attendees will learn about:

  • Estate and transition planning options for farm operations

  • Business structures and tax considerations

  • Legal tools for inheritance and succession

  • Strategies for communicating plans within the family

The Workshop is Hosted by Iowa State University

The workshop is part of a statewide effort by Iowa State University’s Center for Agricultural Law and Taxation to help farm families navigate the complex process of transitioning ownership and operations.
