A New Marion Restaurant Opens Its Doors Today
Today is the big day! According to the official Facebook page, Daisy's Garage Marion will be opening its doors on Monday, June 12th!
About a year ago (June of 2022), the popular Cedar Rapids restaurant Daisy's Garage announced on social media that they would be building a second location in the area. The original Daisy's Garage was located at 1117 1st Ave SE, but relocated into the Fountains Plaza at 5240 Edgewood Road in early 2019. The new Marion restaurant is located at 6147 Carlson Way, which is at the corner of Hwy 151 and Hwy 13, right near Pizza Ranch.
The reason that the new Daisy's Garage has taken a year to open is because the building is brand new. They built it from the ground up! Customers will be happy to know that it has an outdoor patio and garage doors that open up to let in the summer air, just like the Cedar Rapids location.
If you've never tried Daisy's Garage before, the food is amazing! The Steam Pot seems to be a favorite among customers, as does the Monte Cristo, which is available on Thursdays. My personal favorite menu item, though, is the Tater Tot Smash. You can't go wrong with tater tots topped with queso, bacon, green onion, and sour cream!
Starting today, Daisy's Garage Marion will be open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. They serve lunch and dinner each day, but also have breakfast options on Saturday and Sunday.
