A New Cedar Rapids Bakery Serves Gorgeous Cupcakes & Pastries
If you're looking for delicious bread and sweets, there's a new bakery in Cedar Rapids that you may want to check out! Anh's Bread Therapy is now open inside of NewBo City Market.
According to the business' website, Anh's Bread Therapy is owned by Le Quynh Anh, who was born and raised in Vietnam. She eventually moved to the U.S. to live in Connecticut with her husband David. They lived on a farm in the "middle of nowhere," which is when Anh began learning to cook. She ended up completing the culinary program at the Community Culinary School of Northwestern Connecticut. Anh's love of baking didn't come until later on, after she opened her bed & breakfast. Then, when her husband got a job offer here in Iowa, Anh decided to go back to school. She got her Baking Certificate at Kirkwood, and has been baking ever since!
Last summer, Anh made her first post on the Cedar Rapids Area Support Local Group Facebook page. She announced that she had just moved to Cedar Rapids and was a guest vendor at NewBo City Market. Less than a year later, she now has her very own booth!
Anh sells a variety of baked goods at NewBo City Market, including bread, muffins, cookies, bars, pastries, and more. She also specializes in cupcakes that are decorated to look like flowers and succulents. Everything she bakes looks like a work of art!
Anh's Bread Therapy is open inside NewBo City Market Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It's best to come early, as Anh says that she usually sells out before the end of the day. The Hong Kong Inside-Out Coconut Buns seem to be especially popular! For the latest updates from Anh's Bread Therapy, you can check out the official Facebook page HERE. You can also place an order via the website HERE.
