A Marion Seafood Restaurant Will Close Later This Month
After more than four years in business, the Cedar Rapids Gazette reports that Crab Attack Seafood Kitchen & Bar at 796 11th Street in Marion is closing its doors at the end of December.
Crab Attack first opened its doors in April of 2020 over at 1117 1st Avenue SE in Cedar Rapids, the original home of Daisy's Garage. Then, in November of 2023, the restaurant announced that it would be relocating to Marion. The grand opening of the Marion restaurant happened just a short time later, on December 29th of 2023.
On December 15th, Crab Attack announced on social media that they will be shutting down this month. The post reads:
"It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of Crab Attack Seafood Kitchen & Bar after an incredible 4-1/2 years of serving our wonderful community. This decision was not made lightly, and it comes as a result of a unique opportunity that we can’t pass up. While we are excited about this new path, it also means saying goodbye to many of the cherished moments we've shared with you."
The team at Crab Attack went on to say that this is not goodbye, but "more like a see you later." The seasonings and sauces that customers enjoyed at the restaurant will be coming to local grocery stores in the near future!
You still have some time to enjoy Crab Attack before they close. Their last day in business will be Saturday, December 28th. They also note that they will have some close-out specials throughout their final days. For the latest updates, you can follow Crab Attack on Facebook HERE.
