Delicious Eastern Iowa Food Trucks to Check Out This Spring/Summer

Lots of markets, fairs, and festivals are on the way in Eastern Iowa, which means that food truck season is also upon us! Before we get to some of the awesome food trucks we have here in our half of the state, let's run down some of the food truck events that are on the way.

We'll start with Food Truck Tuesdays at NewBo City Market in Cedar Rapids! Every Tuesday from May 6th through August 26th, stop by the market yard to check out a variety of food trucks from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

If Fridays work better for you, Food Truck Fridays will return to Village Center Plaza in Hiawatha beginning on May 23rd. Those also run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the final one taking place on August 29th.

And, don't forget! The Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival will once again be hosting their Freedom FEASTival on Friday, May 2nd at Greene Square Park. You're invited to "come out and try some of the best local food trucks & vendors, [and] jam out to live tunes all day long!" The annual event takes place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with live music happening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

We used Google reviews to put together a list of some of the best campgrounds in the state of Iowa! In order to be included on the list, each campground had to be listed as such on Google (not just "park" or "state park") and had to have a rating of 4.7-stars or higher with at least 50 reviews.
