The New Five Below Store in Cedar Rapids Will Open This Week

Cedar Rapidians over in the Westdale area will soon have their very own Five Below! According to the official website, the new Corridor location is set to host their grand opening this weekend!

Five Below at Westdale Town Center

An article from the Corridor Business Journal says that Eastern Iowa's newest Five Below is located at 3915 Westdale Parkway SW, right between Michaels and JC Penney. This will be the second Cedar Rapids location, with the other store at 180 Collins Rd NE in the Collins Crossing shopping center. The first Cedar Rapids store opened back in 2019.

The Grand Opening

Five Below's website says that the Westdale Store will open its doors to customers on Friday, October 3rd at 9:30 a.m. The grand opening celebration will last all weekend long, but on Saturday, October 4th, there are extra giveaways. The Facebook event page says that the first 100 people in line will receive a $10 gift card (limit one per family), as well as a free drawstring bag (while supplies last). The rest of the weekend will be filled with activities and trivia with prizes!

Five Below is known for its wide variety of items priced between $1 and $5, which are sorted into eight different "worlds:" Tech, Style, Room, Play, Create, Party, Candy, and New & Now. The Westdale Store will also feature "Five Beyond" items, which are items that cost $6 or more. Five Beyond items are sorted into five categories: Toys & Games, Tech & Electronics, Room, Style, and Pet.
