Iowa’s Largest Indoor Adventure Park is Coming to Cedar Rapids
A new indoor adventure park, the largest in the state of Iowa, is coming to Cedar Rapids next year!
The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports that Edwards Entertainment Co., which owns Fun Station locations in Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, and Eldridge, announced that it will open a second Cedar Rapids location in 2025. The new location will be nearly six times bigger, more than 70,000 square feet. It will reportedly feature a zip line, climbing walls, duck pin bowling, and bumper boats according to the Gazette.
CBS2 reports that once completed late next year, the new Fun Station location will be just off Wright Brothers Blvd. in Cedar Rapids. The official address of the new facility is 8920 Brighton Way SW.
The Gazette reports that the new Fun Station will feature the longest indoor zip line in the Midwest, an arcade with over 40 games, a rope course that extends 55 feet into the air, and a series of what are called 'slick slides'. They are described as like riding a waterslide without the water!
The other Fun Station in Cedar Rapids is located at 200 Collins Road. It opened in 1993 and was originally called The PlayStation. Developers of the new Fun Station facility hope that it will be a place where families can come out and enjoy spending time together.
I hear so many people say that there is nothing to do in Cedar Rapids. Well, here is another attraction coming next year for you to visit! And it sounds like FUN to me!
