Mochi Donuts & Korean Corn Dogs Are Headed to Cedar Rapids
A popular food vendor at Coral Ridge Mall in Coralville is expanding into another Corridor mall! I Love Mochi is getting ready to open a second location inside of Lindale Mall in Cedar Rapids.
About I Love Mochi
I Love Mochi is a family-owned business that officially opened at Coral Ridge Mall in October of 2024. They saw that Eastern Iowa was missing out on some fun and delicious foods and wanted to give us a chance to try them! The I Love Mochi website reads:
"I Love Mochi began with a simple idea: bring the playful, Asian-inspired treats we love—mochi donuts and Korean corn dogs—to our own community. We saw these snacks rising around the world but missing locally, so we set out to create a bright, welcoming spot where anyone could enjoy them fresh."
As far as the donuts go, I Love Mochi rotates through lots of different and unique flavors, including cookies & cream, mango, s’mores, churro, dragon fruit, Dubai Chocolate, Fruity Pebble, and Nutella. The Korean corn dogs can be ordered with beef, cheese, or half and half, and can be coated in Flamin' Hot Cheetos, crispy ramen, potatoes, or churro flavoring. The New Location
Late last year, we got word that I Love Mochi was planning to open a Cedar Rapids location in 2026, and that opening is getting closer! Lindale Mall's website says the new food stand is set to open in February, and recent social media posts from I Love Mochi are asking Cedar Rapidians what flavors of donuts they want to see. I've tried I Love Mochi twice now: I had one of the donuts a Coral Ridge Mall when they first opened, and I ordered a Korean corn dog from their stand at Asian Fest in Cedar Rapids this summer. Both were DELICIOUS! I can't wait to check them out again in the near future.
