Cedar Rapids Mexican Restaurant Reopens Under New Ownership
It's a big day for fans of the restaurant Mas Margaritas! The restaurant has reopened its doors after an extended closure that started back in December.
On December 7th of 2024, Mas Margaritas posted on Facebook to let customers know that the restaurant would be temporarily shutting down in order to "make some big changes" ahead of the business' 6-year anniversary. At the time, the plan was to reopen on December 19th.
On December 20th, Mas Margaritas revealed that the biggest change the restaurant would undergo is a change in ownership. It is now under the same ownership as several other area restaurants, including Daisy's Garage, Cruz's Cafe, and Pregame Brew & Chew. The post also assured customers that some things about the restaurant will NOT change. It reads:
"Don’t worry, you’ll still be able to get your favorite meals & drinks & any gift cards will still be honored!"
Mas Margaritas' Facebook page has been quiet since December, but this week (February 12th), the restaurant posted an official reopening announcement. As of 11 a.m. today (February 13th), Mas Margaritas is welcoming customers once again. The post reads:
"We’re thrilled to welcome everyone back and can’t wait to see you all again. Come by and check out what’s new, and yet to come!"
Mas Margaritas is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Cedar Rapids, so I'm excited that they've finally reopened! I've had lots of delicious meals there and, of course, lots of delicious margaritas, too. I'll definitely be back!
