Iowa’s Best ‘Date Night’ Restaurant Has Over 100 Different Martinis

Planning at date night? There's an upscale martini bar that you may want to check out!

According to an article from Love Food, the Stuffed Olive in Des Moines is the best place in Iowa for a date night. The article reads:

"Sharing a few tapas dishes is a great way to get closer on a date night – and there are a lot of tasty morsels to choose from at The Stuffed Olive. The chicken skewers come highly recommended, as do the spinach artichoke dip and Nashville hot chicken sliders. The house-made crème brûlée is worth saving room for, too."

The main attraction at the Stuffed Olive is, not surprisingly, the martinis. They have more than 100 different flavors available, including some very unusual ones. Here are a few of the interesting martinis on the menu:

• Carrot Cake
• Chocolate Covered Cherry
• Garlic Mashed Potato

• Grape Koolaid

The Des Moines location of the Stuffed Olive isn't the only one in Iowa! The Harmonic Hospitality Group also runs a couple of Stuffed Olives in Cedar Falls and Iowa City, although the menus differ by location.

The Stuffed Olive at 314 Main Street in Cedar Falls is open Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Saturday from 2 p.m. to  2 a.m., and the one at 121 E College Street in Iowa City is open Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 12 a.m. and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.

It's also worth noting that a martini bar that will be very similar to the Stuffed Olive is headed to Cedar Rapids. The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports that BarTini's will be located in the new Kingston Yard development at 151 1st Ave SW. The upscale bar will also offer more than 100 martinis, as well as a "robust" bourbon and whiskey selection and a tapas menu. It's expected to open sometime in October.
