BBQ sauce sold across the United States is under an urgent recall due to an issue that could lead to "life-threatening" consequences, and bottles of the sauce in question were sold in Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin.

The product in question is honey BBQ sauce produced by the Savannah Bee Company in Savannah, GA. The recall was issued by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), who also provided UPC codes and batch numbers for the affected products.

Information on the Ongoing Recall:

16-fluid-ounce bottles of Savannah Bee Company's Honey BBQ Sauce (Mustard) are being recalled due to undeclared wheat and soy allergens. Per the FDA, the allergens were included in the product because of "unintentional mislabeling between the 'sweet' and 'mustard' variations of the sauce."

The product was shipped nationwide to distribution centers, retail stores, and consumers between 7/30/2025 and 2/26/2026. The company's Honey BBQ Sauce Mustard Label is orange and is packaged in a clear, glass bottle. The lot number and best before date is etched on the neck of the bottle, per the FDA.

Customers are advised to throw the product away immediately, and to request a refund from the Savannah Bee Company directly by contacting 800-955-5080.
