Dubuque Gas Station Undergoing Major Renovations

A gas station located along one of the main arteries on Dubuque's West End is in the midst of large-scale renovations following a change in ownership this past fall.

The Big 10 Mart chain is a small staple around Dubuque, but things will be changing for the location at 2100 John F. Kennedy (JFK) Road. For context, that's the location adjacent to the strip mall containing Dollar Tree and Fareway. Per Telegraph Herald, new owners Chan Singh and Tone Arora are adding a few new attributes to the service station, which will rebrand as a Phillips 66 gas station too.

New Name, New Features for the Gas Stations:

In addition to the name change, the Phillips 66 gas station will add a U-Haul rental facility as well as a Krispy Krunchy Chicken franchise within the next six months. Krispy Krunchy Chicken, a Louisiana-based chain which specializes in quick-service fried chicken, already has a Dubuque location on Central Avenue.

The existence of Krispy Krunchy Chicken will behoove those customers who wait for their car maintenance to be completed at the auto body shop, which is attached to the building.

Singh told the Telegraph Herald that the pair owned seven similar spots in California, but uprooted to Dubuque seeking more favorable financial circumstances. Fortunately, all of the employees at the Big 10 Mart location at 2100 JFK Road are being retained:

Telegraph Herald also added that the Phillips 66 station is offering an up-to-40-cent discount on gas per gallon if customers use the Upside app. Customers who receive an oil change on site will also receive a 10-cent/gallon gas discount.
