After wrapping up his massive 2025 tour, which included a stop in Iowa, the iconic King of Parodies has announced a subsequent series of shows that includes another stop in Iowa!

"Weird Al" Yankovic needs no introduction, but I'll give him one anyway. He's one of my all-time favorite singers. I own every CD. His concert in Merrillville, IN in 2008 was the first concert I ever attended; a high bar I'm still not sure any have cleared. Although relatively quiet on the new music front later, Al has still been a steady fixture in pop culture, with the 2022 biopic, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, being an instant sensation, as well as making an appearance on MeTV's Collector's Call.

"Weird Al" Yankovic Returned to Iowa for the First Time in Years:

In 2024, "Weird Al" Yankovic announced that he would be launching his "Bigger & Weirder" Tour, which spanned 67 cities, including Des Moines, IA. On June 27th, 2025, "Weird Al" rocked the Des Moines Civic Center with an assortment of songs instantly recognizable over his multi-decade career in music.

The Bigger & Weirder Tour is coming back in 2026, with promise to be even bigger and weirder, of course!

After bringing his BIGGER & WEIRDER Tour to over 500,000 fans in 67 cities in 2025, Weird Al will be hitting the road again next year with his even bigger BIGGER & WEIRDER 2026 TOUR, playing his iconic hits as well as some never-performed-live-before fan favorites. Al’s long-time band is joined by four additional players to create a super-sized concert experience - per "Weird Al" Yankovic's website

"Weird Al" is Coming Back to Iowa in 2026:

"Weird Al" will be taking the stage of the Alliant Energy Power House in Cedar Rapids, IA on July 1st, 2026! General admission tickets start at just under $40, with VIP, meet and greet, and backstage passes all available for purchase. You can find out more about ticket info here.

Yankovic's show in Des Moines last year marked his first show in Iowa since July 2022 when he performed at the Paramount Theatre in Cedar Rapids. He also performed outdoors at The Arena in East Dubuque, IL back in September 2000, a venue I can find nothing about online, but coworkers tell me it was a great show!
