Iowa fans know you can't leave Caitlin Clark unguarded... EVER. Unfortunately for most players, even if you are covering her, you may end up the victim of one of her poster three-pointers. One practice squad player understands that a little better now after a video went viral where all he could do was shrug off the stellar play. Check it out.

Yes, opponents have found themselves at a loss when trying to contain Clark. In a notable instance, during the Elite Eight matchup, LSU players could only respond to Clark's offensive onslaught with shoulder shrugs, too (I'd be saying, "why me?!")

The now-viral “Caitlin Shrug” moment began during the 2024 NCAA Tournament when Hailey Van Lith threw up her arms in disbelief after Clark hit yet another deep three-pointer over her, seemingly unfazed by the tight defense. That reaction is equal parts frustration and admiration, as it quickly became a meme. Fast forward to that recent Indiana Fever practice, and we immediately know how that guy was feeling.

Fans started to connect the dots, dubbing it “the Caitlin Shrug” and sharing side-by-side screenshots of multiple defenders, from college to pro, all giving the same helpless reaction to Clark’s shot-making brilliance. Even Clarke has taken to the gesture, reminiscent of Michael Jordan's iconic reaction in the 1992 NBA Finals. You know, this one.

We, Iowa fans, knew what we had long before the world experienced Clark's flair and logo three-pointers.

Now, Clark continues to redefine expectations in women's basketball. Her performances not only captivate fans but also earn the respect of peers and opponents alike (except maybe Reese).

Her blend of deep shooting, playmaking, and her competitive (sometimes combative) spirit cements her status as a transformative figure in the sport. Me? I just like watching her put everyone's defense to shame. It also means way more moments, like the ones below, are to come.

I mean, how would you cover the un-guardable?
