Iowa’s Kinnick Stadium Named In Top 20 Best College Football Stadiums For 2025

Just in time for the new college football season, there's a new accolade for Kinnick.

I went to my first Iowa Hawkeyes game last season and it was so fun. The tailgates all through Iowa City and the energy in the stadium was great (probably because it was so cold out). My whole row passed around Hot Hands and thermoses of chili.

USA Today has compiled a list of the Best College Football Stadiums in 2025. The rankings were based off of reviews on Yelp, TripAdvisor, and Google.

Coming in at number 14 is Iowa's Kinnick Stadium. Kinnick ranked 4.3 stars on Yelp (with 28 reviews), 4.4 stars on TripAdvisor (44 reviews), and 4.8 stars on Google (with 3,297 reviews). It's hard to find something else in all of college football as wholesome as Iowa's Wave.

Did the Hawkeyes beat Nebraska on this one? No. They're number 10. However, Iowa State did not break the top 25. So do with that what you will.

The top college football stadium in America is Boone Pickens Stadium, Oklahoma State, the oldest home field in the Big 12 that has seen some massive renovations in the last few years. Meanwhile, the Big 10 conference only had 4 stadiums in the top 25 (which really makes the Hawkeyes look even better).

We're just weeks away from the kickoff of college football. The Iowa Hawkeyes football schedule starts on August 30th, when they take on University at Albany in Iowa City. The Cy-Hawk game in Ames is on September 6th. The Nebraska game will be November 28th at 11:00 a.m. in Lincoln.
