Welcome to spooky season!

Even if you've been holding out waiting for the Halloween festivities, it's time. It's early October, which kicks off the season of jack-o-lanterns and mini candy.

There's no shortage of festivities, including the Halloween Masquerade Ball on October 25th.

But before you head to the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds for that, take the kids to Downtown Davenport's Spooky Spectacular & Candy Crawl!

It's on Saturday, October 25th from 12:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. in downtown Davenport.

The event is free and will feature treats, photo ops, face painting, a live magician, balloon animals, and more. Businesses participating in the Candy Crawl will hand out candy and having some spooky good sales.

It's easy: put on a Halloween costume, pick up an event map at any participating business, and take a stroll through downtown, collecting treats, and checking out what businesses have going on!

The Halloween festivities in downtown Davenport don't end that day! The City of Davenport's Halloween parade will be going through downtown Davenport the very next day on October 26th.
