Next week is going to be an exciting week for two restaurants in the Stateline area when film crews from America's Best Restaurants Roadshow arrive to showcase them on national television!
Two Northern Illinois Restaurants on 'America's Best Restaurants Roadshow'
Just last week I was all excited when I found out one of my hometown hangouts, Salamone's Italian Restaurant in Cherry Valley, would soon be featured on 'America's Best Restaurants Roadshow', and then today I found out another restaurant close to home will be featured on the show too: Big O's On The Hollow in Freeport.
Since moving to Pecatonica four years ago, my family often visits Freeport for shopping and dining, but I’d never heard of Big O’s On The Hollow. Apparently, we have really been missing out!
Big O's On The Hollow Restaurant in Freeport
Big O's On The Hollow, located at 1931 Illinois 75, is a family-run business that opened in 2018 and features a menu "ranging from hand-cut Ribeye steaks & pork chops, made-from-scratch to order Fettuccine Alfredo and fresh, never frozen Black Angus burgers with no shortage of customizable options for even the pickiest of eaters!"
On top of Big O's delicious-sounding food choices, the restaurant also offers banquet services and a spacious outdoor dining area with volleyball courts!
It's no surprise that the Freeport area loves Big O's, and soon the rest of the nation will understand why.
'America's Best Restaurants' Coming to Big O's
On Monday, September 15, film crews from America's Best Restaurants Roadshow will be at Big O's shooting an upcoming episode, and we're all invited to be there too!

America’s Best Restaurants will be here on Monday, September 15th, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. We would love for our loyal customers to come and join us while they film!Who knows? If you're lucky you may even be featured as a cameo in the background of the episode.
