It's tough to reach the level of greatness Caitlin Clark has reached in her basketball career without being one of the most competitive people in the world.

She was the number 1 draft pick in the WNBA, she's the greatest scorer in the history of college basketball, and she's become one of the most popular basketball players on the planet because of her competitive drive and spirit.

To become a professional athlete takes an insane amount of competitiveness. Some pro athletes are better at shutting that competitive drive off when they leave the field, rink, or court but you better believe when they're on their respective field, they're trying to be the best.

Some athletes can get by on talent alone but the true greats not only have talent, they have the drive to constantly get better. Michael Jordan would make up fake scenarios in his head to get mad before games, which would fuel him to perform better. Tom Brady would often remember being drafted in the 6th round at 199th overall, which helped push him to become the greatest football player of all time.

Charity Event Defense

A young boy learned a pretty valuable lesson at a recent charity event that Caitlin Clark was participating in. He learned that if you ever get the chance to take on a professional athlete in the sport they play, there's pretty much zero chance the athlete is going to let you win. No professional athlete wants to be known as the person who lost to a kid or a casual fan of the sport they play.

In today's world, video cameras are everywhere so not only would an athlete have to hear about losing to a fan, they'd have to see the video posted everywhere on social media. I don't blame Caitlin one bit for collecting 5 blocks against this kid!

Charity Event

The Indiana Fever joined local volunteers in Indianapolis to help build walls for a new Habitat for Humanity home. During the event, Caitlin had a chance to play some 1 on 1 basketball and it looked like she enjoyed padding her state sheet with 5 blocks!

What makes this video even better, Caitlin has a smile on her face the entire time. She didn't think twice about sending this kid's shot sailing out of bounds.

Who knows, this might be the best thing to happen to this young boy. He might one day go on to be the greatest basketball player of all time because he'll always remember that one time Caitlin Clark sent his shot to the rafters.
