Caitlin Clark has experienced plenty of highs early in her WNBA career.

She was the first overall draft pick, has more double-double games than any WNBA rookie in league history, and is the odds-on favorite to win the WNBA Rookie of the Year award.

If the WNBA season were to end today, the Indiana Fever would make the playoffs as the 7th seed out of 8 teams. Caitlin has helped lead a team that was the worst in the league last year to a potential playoff birth in her rookie season.

While Caitlin's early achievements have been impressive, there have been plenty of learning moments early in her WNBA career. She's been involved in multiple scuffles with WNBA players, she leads the league in technical fouls, and the Indiana Fever got off to a slow start at the beginning of the season.

They have slowly turned their season around as they have reached the middle of the summer but there are still a lot of games left for them to play. They'll need to continue winning games for their chance at making the playoffs.

She's also seen her share of physical play from fellow WNBA players. Just about every Caitlin Clark fan remembers the moment when she was pushed in the back by Chennedy Carter. Fans have wondered if WNBA veterans are targeting Caitlin Clark or if they're having a "welcome to the league, Rookie" moment with the former Iowa superstar.

Jackie Young Class Act

Earlier this month, the Fever took on the 3rd place Las Vegas Aces. Jackie Young was in charge of guarding Caitlin during the matchup and there was an interesting moment captured between the two.

Caitlin slipped and took a hard fall to her knees while she was trying to drive to the basket. You can hear her knees slide against the hardwood in this clip and I'm sure the fall left her with some burns and/or bruises. To give Caitlin a few extra moments to shake off the fall and collect herself, Jackie Young bent down to untie her shoes and re-tie them.

It was a small moment but you can see Caitlin smile, and share a quick few words with Jackie.  You can tell she appreciated the kind gesture of sportsmanship as Jackie helped stall before play resumed.

Caitlin hasn't always received these little moments from other players early in her WNBA career but I think this could be a sign that the tides are turning. WNBA players are beginning to learn very quickly that Caitlin Clark can play ball. She received so much attention and praise before ever stepping onto a WNBA court and she's proving that her game is no joke.

As Caitlin's career continues, she'll receive more praise from fellow WNBA players, and she'll continue to earn respect from other veterans around the league. Even though the moment was short, It was nice to see a fellow WNBA star looking out for the league's most popular player.

The Indiana Fever have won their past 2 games and currently sit with an 11-14 record.
