My mom's name is Audrey and she's the best mom I've ever had! While I may look like and act more like my dad, my mom taught me more of the skills I've had to use as an adult.

She's taught me how to stand up and advocate for myself because you can't count on anyone else to do it. She taught me to stand my ground if there's something I believe in. She also taught me that you don't have to do something just because everyone else is doing it. It's okay to go against the crowd and be comfortable doing something that isn't popular, especially if what the crowd is doing is wrong.

She has always been okay with me doing "fun-stupid" things as opposed to "stupid-stupid" things and I've always really appreciated that. If you're a parent, you know exactly what the difference is between "fun-stupid" and "stupid-stupid."
