There are plenty of people in the world who trust Amazon, which has been ranked the most trusted brand across all generations, according to Chain Store Age. Other brands that Americans trust the most are Target, Walmart, Macy's, and Lowes.

Any good business wants to become a brand that you can trust. They want consumers to believe in and trust the quality of their products or services, and they want consumers to believe they will deliver on their promises.

When you walk into a Target, you know exactly what to expect. Most Targets these days even look alike and have the same setups. If you shop at Lowes or Home Depot, you know exactly what to expect and about how much everything costs.

Restaurants

Can you say the same thing for restaurants? The restaurant industry can be a tricky business. 60% of restaurants fail in their first year of operation and 80% fail within the first 5 years. These businesses fail for a variety of reasons, whether it's bad location, inexperienced owners, inflation, improper pricing, lack of marketing, etc.

To become a successful restaurant, you have to make people believe they are going to enjoy their experience when ordering food from you. You have to get patrons to trust that your food is going to deliver a satisfying meal. Which restaurant has done that the best in Iowa/America? There are plenty of them in the Hawkeye State.

Pizza Hut

According to Chain Store Age, Pizza Hut is not only the most trustworthy pizza place in America, but it's also the most trusted restaurant in general. The percentage of respondents who trusted Pizza Hut was 40%, while 39% chose KFC, and 37% chose McDonald's.

I've always thought that if you've ordered from one Pizza Hut, you've ordered from them all, and that's a good thing! You know exactly what you can and should expect when you order a meat lover's pizza and a few wings for the family.

I was a bit surprised to find out that Panera was one of the least trusted restaurants to appear on the survey. My wife and I love Panera and have never had a problem visiting their restaurant in any part of the country. She loves their broccoli cheese soup and I've never had a problem whenever I "pick two" and grab a soup and sandwich. We order from Panera at least once a month. To each their own I guess.
