Guy Fieri... the mayor of Flavortown. When Guy talks (and eats), we listen!

With 51 seasons of his incredibly popular show, Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, thus far, Guy has travelled America to find amazing local eateries.

While Iowa is not a large state population-wise, Guy has still dropped by a number of Iowa establishments over the years.

Now, one was picked as a top 10 restaurant he's visited... all time!

Best Triple D Restaurants: Ranked

The website LoveFood has selected the best of the best. The top 66 places Guy has been to since the show began.

An Iowa establishment made the top 10!

How did they come up with their ranking? Since Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives kicked off in 2007, you have to imagine that, sadly, many restaurants aren't open anymore.

That was taken into account along with LoveFoods reasoning for the list:

Iowa Hasn't Been Featured Often, But...

Despite Iowa being featured only a few times, seven times, according to the Food Network, Iowa still has one heavy hitter that really stands out.

The restaurant, like most Guy visited, is in Des Moines. Actually, it's in West Des Moines, but you get the idea.

The restaurant, which LoveFood has ranked at number six on its list, is Mi Patria. Known for Ecuadorian cuisine and reasonable prices, the restaurant was visited by Guy during season 21 of Triple D.

The episode, titled, Fresh Fish & Funky Chicken, also featured Des Moines BBQ joint Smokey D's BBQ.

Will Guy Come Back to Iowa?

It's hard to imagine Guy won't return to Iowa with the Triple D cameras rolling at some point. Especially with Chicago, Omaha, and Minneapolis so close by.
