Popular Burger Empire Opening Soon In Cedar Falls

We shared with you at the end of last year, the news of a new burger joint opening for business in the Cedar Valley. At the time, progress on the new location seemed slow and steady.

Now, several months later we finally have an approximate idea on WHEN Five Guys will open in Cedar Falls.

Five Guys Burger and Fries a national chain, currently has seven locations in the Hawkeye State. These restaurant spots include:

• Ames
• Ankeny
• Cedar Rapids
• Coralville
• Davenport
• Dubuque
• West Des Moines

Now there will be an eighth location much closer for people in the Cedar Valley. This new eatery will be located at the old Firehouse Subs space at the southwest corner suite of 6406 University Avenue, according to the Waterloo Courier.

The Cedar Falls branch is currently looking for employees to fill positions for shift manager, shift lead and crew member, according to officials.

Officials confirm that the interior of the building is still in the process of being remodeled. The grand opening is expected to happen very soon, and one report even says that it could open up "as soon as next month."
