
Oelwein Fundraiser Supports Special Ops Veterans Through Outdoor Adventures
Northeast Iowans are as patriotic as any group of citizens in the U.S.
An event is coming up this weekend in Oelwein that aims to help our troops by providing all-expenses-paid hunting excursions.
Purple Heart Warriors Outdoors Event
A Fayette County nonprofit that supports U.S. Special Operations troops is hosting a community fundraising dinner this weekend.

Purple Heart Warriors Outdoors will hold its annual event on Saturday, November 15, from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Oelwein.
The evening includes a prime rib dinner, raffle prizes, silent and live auctions, and the opportunity to meet active-duty and retired members of elite military units.

The all-volunteer organization provides all-expenses-paid hunting excursions in Fayette County for troops from the U.S. Special Operations Command, including Green Berets, Army Rangers, Navy SEALs, Marine Raiders, and Delta Force operators.
About Purple Heart Warriors Outdoor
The group partners with local landowners, volunteer guides, and donors to make each experience possible.
Dinner tickets are $30, and raffle tickets are $10 each, with proceeds supporting future outdoor excursions for veterans and service members.
