I don't want to wish the entire fall season away, but before you know it, winter will be here, and snow will be falling down.

Iowans are no strangers to bad winter weather. However, this past spring and summer residents of the Hawkeye State had to be prepared for the dry summer heat.

It is set to be a rather calm winter all throughout North America, according to the editor-in-chief of the Farmers' Almanac.

“While there will still be plenty of chilly temperatures and snow for most slopes, the high heating costs associated with the season shouldn’t hit so hard. We’re predicting a temperate, uneventful winter—potentially a welcome reprieve from the extremes of recent years.”

The Heartland is going have a very mild winter, according to the Farmers' Almanac.

States like Iowa, Missouri, eastern Kansas, and Nebraska will reportedly experience warmer temperatures than usual during the 2024-2025 winter season.

It is set to take a dip and be coldest in this region around late January and early February.

But What About the Snow in Iowa?

The most eastern region of the state will experience mild, snowy conditions come winter. However, the entire state precipitation levels and total snowfall is predicted to be well below average.

Iowans should expect to experience the most snowfall in late January and early February when the temperatures are the coldest.
