If you're making a trip to Walmart to buy groceries, chances are you're going because of their prices and the selection. Walmart has a little bit of everything and it can make for a convenient one-stop shop.

I don't think many people think of a world-class farmer's market when shopping at Walmart but they do have a fairly big selection of fresh fruits and vegetables for you to choose from. If you've purchased fruits, vegetables, poultry, pork, seafood, or bagged citrus items from the supercenter, they might owe you some money.

It's all because of a class-action lawsuit that Walmart has decided to settle on.

How Much Can You Get and How To Get Your Money Back?

According to Food & Wine, Walmart might owe you anywhere from $10-$25. Walmart allegedly charged customers more than they should have for certain weighted goods from October 19, 2018- January 19, 2024. Walmart will pay out $45 million as part of the settlement.

The amount you receive will depend on how many of these weighted goods you purchased between the October 2018 and January 2024 time frame. If you have your receipts or you can at least attest to buying at least 50 items, $10 will be headed your way.

If you have the receipts or can attest to buying anywhere between 51-75 items, 15 dollars will be awarded to you, and if you can prove or attest to buying 100 items, you'll receive $20. Finally, if you can prove or attest to buying 101 or more items, you'll receive $25.

At the end of the day, is it worth filing a claim over $10-$25? Maybe. You can file your claim at Walmart Weighted Groceries Settlement and with a few clicks, potentially receive money owed to you. You also have to option to mail in a claim form if you choose. If you purchased any of the items listed here, it might be worth taking a few minutes to get some of your money back.

*It should be noted that there will be a final hearing on this settlement on June 12th, which could potentially delay some of the appeals. If Walmart files an appeal, it will delay the conclusion of this case. If Walmart does not file an appeal, your settlement will be processed as soon as possible.*
