The weather might be chilly, but thoughts of an exciting trip to Waterloo's Lost Island might just warm you up! Exciting news has come out about the parks' upcoming season.

Last season, Lost Island opened up a brand new amusement park. It was an expansion of the already well-established water park that had been located there for years.

Unfortunately, this new leg of the park had to close a bit earlier than expected, as we previously reported. The park opened in June and reported approximately 250-700 daily guests. Also, multiple rides did not open for use last year.

Better safe than sorry, right?

This new park was highly anticipated for years!

On a more positive note; the park did receive some stellar recognition for one of the new rides. "Volkanu: Quest for the Golden Idol." It was named the winner of Best New Family Attraction for 2022 by Amusement Today along with gaining some other accolades.

You can read more about that here.

Now, plans are being set into motion for the upcoming season. Lost Island has announced the official opening dates for both parks.

The waterpark and theme park will be opening in early June this year. Lost Island Water Park is scheduled to open for business this season on Friday, June 2nd. Hours of operation for the water park will be 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Its last day for the 2023 season is anticipated to be Saturday, August 26th.

Similarly, the theme park will open for its second season on Friday, June 2nd. Theme park hours of operation are 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM. According to the official website, the amusement park will close on Monday, August 21st with its last day being that Sunday.
