Fire Shuts Down Popular SW Cedar Rapids Restaurant

Earlier this morning, around 5 am, someone noticed flames coming from the roof at Jersey's Pub and Grub on C St. SW. According to the fire department, fire suppression systems did their job to control most of the fire, but there was considerable smoke when crews arrived, and a small fire around a stove, which they were able to put out. Thankfully no one was hurt, but the damage is pretty heavy. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

What does that mean for the future of the restaurant? According to their facebook page, this is not the end.
