Pulling for Honor, a fundraising event benefiting Eastern Iowa Honor Flight, is coming up on Saturday, July 13th, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Pulling for Honor is in it's 4th year, and hosted by The Eastern Iowa Airport. Teams of 25 get the chance to pull a FedEx 757, 12 feet with a $2,500 buy in. This is a family friendly event, and many companies invite their employees to be on the pull-team.

It may sound like a lot of money, but it's really not! It's a team of 25, so that means each person needs to raise just $100. And when you find out where the money is going, you won't think twice about your donation!

All proceeds from the event benefit the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight. EIHF is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to sending local Veterans on a day trip to Washington D.C. to visit the memorials that were built in their honor.

Last year, the event was able to fund an entire flight of veterans to Washington D.C. These individuals are a very underserved population and appreciate the opportunity to travel to our nations war memorials, healing many wounds they may have carried with them for years.

I have had the honor and privilege of being on an Honor Flight a few years ago. It was an AWESOME experience, and I can personally attest to the impact these funds have on these men and woman who have protected our freedom.

I sure hope you can join us for Pulling for Honor on Saturday, July 13th!
