I love me some fall flavors, but I have no problem admitting that the pumpkin spice trend has gotten a little bit out of control these past few years. As soon as I saw Kraft announce the release of Pumpkin Spice Mac & Cheese, I knew that we had taken things too far. Not EVERYTHING needs to be pumpkin-flavored! But, that doesn't mean I don't enjoy the occasional pumpkin spice product, especially pumpkin spice beverages.

I just had my first Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino of the year from Starbucks last weekend, and it was as delicious as ever. Paired with a cloudy, 55-degree morning and a fluffy new sweatshirt, it really was the perfect fall combination. Clearly I'm not the only one in Iowa soaking up all the pumpkin spice goodness, because Iowa made the top 10 on a new list from Zippia titled "The Most Pumpkin Spice Obsessed States."

Zippia used Google Trends to figure out which states are searching for pumpkin spice beverages, recipes, and other products the MOST. Out of all 50 states, Iowa was ranked number 10. Here are the rest of the top states:

  1. Maine
  2. Utah
  3. Montana
  4. New Hampshire
  5. West Virginia
  6. Missouri
  7. Kansas
  8. Colorado
  9. North Dakota

If you do happen to be pumpkin spice-obsessed, I just came across a list of the best pumpkin spice products in 2020 according to Taste of Home. Aside from pumpkin spice mac & cheese, the list also contains cotton candy, gelato, coffee creamer, popcorn, pancake mix, Pop-Tarts, and more. You can check out all 31 items HERE.
