A man in Brazil was shooting some video from an airplane, when he lost his grip and lost his phone.

Ernesto Galiotto lived through what would be some people's nightmare, but he got his phone back and it was still in tact, and was still recording as it fell.

He was flying over a beach in Cabo Frio, Rio de Janeiro, when he decided to stick the phone out the window of the plane. The high winds caused the phone to fly from his hand.

When he used the GPS tracking it's to check its location, it showed that it was sitting on the beach. It had fallen around 984 feet, and landed in the sand. It was undamaged, aside from minor damage to the screen protector and cover.

"In 15 seconds, it [the device] hit the ground. It was about 200 meters from the water," Mr Galiotto was quoted as saying by G1. "It fell with the screen down and kept filming for an hour and a half. I think the sun recharged it, because when we arrived to recover the phone, it still had 16% charge on Saturday."
