Man Arrested After Firing Gun During Iowa City Road Rage Incident
Iowa City police have announced the arrest of a 54-year-old man following a road rage incident Monday night in Iowa City.
According to a media release from the Iowa City Police Department, officers were called to near the intersection of Goldfinch Circle and Heron Circle at just after 7:20 p.m. Monday evening.
When officers arrived, they found two people who had been involved in what's described as a "road rage incident." The altercation had apparently happened on Scott Boulevard. According to Iowa City Police, Joseph Reinholz fired a shot from a pistol near Rochester Avenue and Scott Boulevard. No one was injured and no property damage was found.
According to the Johnson County Jail, Reinholz, of Iowa City, was arrested and charged with Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon and Reckless Use of a Firearm, a Class C felony and a Simple Misdemeanor, respectively. He is being held in the Johnson County Jail.
