You can't get as famous as Popeyes new chicken sandwich without making some enemies.

A guy named Craig Barr from Chattanooga, Tennessee just filed a lawsuit against Popeyes over the drama their chicken sandwich created in his life.

  1. He says he wasted, "countless time driving" from location to location to try to find one that wasn't sold out of the sandwich.
  2. On one drive, he blew a tire and cracked his $1,500 rim.
  3. He was swindled out of $25 by a guy on Craigslist who claimed he could get Craig a sandwich, but then stiffed him.
  4. And he says he was humiliated when his friends mocked and laughed at him.

So he's suing Popeyes for false advertising and deceptive business practices. He believes they intentionally understocked their stores to build buzz.

Quote, "It's totally deceptive. Who runs out of chicken? It's a big fiasco. Someone has to stand up to big corporate. Everyone is captivated by these sandwiches."

He's seeking $5,000.
