Two days in the Cedar Rapids metro, and two vehicles struck by bullets, have left police searching for answers and the driver of the red truck above.

According to a media release from the Marion Police Department, officers responded to a call of multiple gunshots in a restaurant parking lot at 895 Blairs Ferry Road just after 6:15 p.m. Thursday night. When they arrived, officers learned of a dispute that ended with several gunshots being fired at the red Ford F-150 four-door truck in the photo below. The photo was taken by a witness.

After the truck was fired upon, it left the scene, hitting a parked vehicle on its way from the scene. Police talked to the person who fired the gun but have not yet found the vehicle that left the scene. The Marion Police Department says it likely has broken windows and may have passenger-side bullet holes.

KCRG says they talked to a woman at the restaurant that reported that she and her boyfriend were leaving the restaurant when they were approached by three men who she says attacked her boyfriend. The woman told KCRG that she's the one that fired at the truck.

Anyone with information is asked to call Marion Police at (319) 377-1511 or Linn County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-CS-CRIME.

Wednesday night there was another shooting involving a vehicle, this time in Cedar Rapids.

According to KCRG, Sarah McBride had just picked up three rideshare passengers at approximately 8:50 p.m. Wednesday night when the vehicle she was driving was fired upon near 19th Street and Bever Avenue S.E. No one was injured.

McBride told KCRG that the three young men who were her passengers jumped out of the vehicle as she was driving. In their haste, both a phone and school ID were left behind. They were both turned over to the Cedar Rapids Police Department, which continues to investigate.

The strangest story of all involving gunfire in Iowa the last couple of days happened early this morning in Des Moines. WHO-TV reports that around 2 a.m. Friday morning, a man left a bar with 23-year-old Sophia Garcia.

After arriving at the man's vehicle, he showed Garcia a handgun. As he was driving, Garcia grabbed the revolver and began shooting out the window. A police officer saw the flash of the gun, heard the shots, and stopped the vehicle. No one was injured and no property damage was found.

Garcia was arrested charged with reckless use of a firearm as well as possession of cocaine. She has since been released on bond.
