Marion Uptown Getdown Schedule Announced
It's been a long, hard Winter that lasted a whole lot longer than we expected. But Spring is here with Summer soon to follow and that means one thing: live music, outdoors.
Every Thursday night in August, City Square Park in Marion is the place to be from 6-9 p.m. The annual "Uptown Getdown" concert series mixes live music, great food and lots of fun. The exciting news is that the band lineup has just been announced:
- August 2: Crazy Delicious (a wide mix of music for everyone)
- August 9: Wylde Nept (traditional and original Celtic music)
- August 16: Never The Less ('80s jams)
- August 23: Danny Whitson Band (country rock)
Marion Uptown Getdown is a free event and our Townsquare Media radio stations (KDAT, KRNA, KHAK, i107.1) are proud to help sponsor it with Farmers State Bank, Fosters Heating and Air Conditioning, ImOn Communications, MercyCare Community Physicians and the Marion Chamber of Commerce.
