Marshal Yanda is an Anamosa Raider. He's an Iowa Hawkeye. He's a Baltimore Raven. And soon, he'll be a Hall of Famer. Reports out of Baltimore say that Yanda will call it a career sometime this week, ending one of the most successful careers for an offensive lineman in NFL history.

The 35-year-old Yanda played all 13 seasons for the Baltimore Ravens. He seriously considered retiring after last season, but returned to the Ravens and anchored an offensive line that set the NFL record for most rushing yards in a single season. The 2019 Ravens also set the franchise record for most points scored.

Marshal Yanda was a third-round pick out of the University of Iowa in 2007. He is one of just three guards in NFL history with at least eight Pro-Bowls and a Super Bowl Championship.

Yanda played with grit, heart, and determination. Something he no doubt learned growing up on a farm in Jones County. Happy retirement Marshal. You made all of us proud!
