A landmark tour for the band Matchbox Twenty had been scheduled across the country in 2020, essentially celebrating the band's 20th anniversary. Leave it to the pandemic to botch that unique opportunity, but the band and special guests the Wallflowers then set out to hit the road on the same route in 2021.

Unfortunately, even though hopes have been high for concerts and events, in general, to take place, as many are, and normalcy to return as folks get vaccinated this year, the Matchbox Twenty tour won't be part of it. Rob Thomas and the gang have again rescheduled these shows, including one at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline, Illinois. Hold on to the tickets you still have from the previously scheduled two shows on the Matchbox Twenty "2020" tour (most recently August 18, 2021, in Moline), as they will be valid for the updated date in Moline on June 18, 2022.

As the show is merely again getting postponed, and not canceled, refunds will not be available at this time.

A post from their Facebook page states the following:

While this is not the news we were hoping to share, we wanted to let you know that we will be moving the tour to 2022. Although we are encouraged by the success and speed of the vaccine rollout, there are still far too many varying factors at play. This makes it not possible for us to put together the tour we intend to bring to you. We are extremely disappointed to have to make this decision, but we promise that when we return, we will bring you the greatest show we have ever done. Take care of each other and we will see you in 2022. - Rob, Kyle, Brian, And Paul
