If you know anyone who works crazy hours, here's the truth: Yes, they're working a ton, but maybe not quite as much as they say.

A new study found that people who say they usually work 75 hours a week actually work more like 50. And people who say they work 65 hours a week work more like 47. That's still a lot of time to be working.

We don't just exaggerate when it comes to work, either. People who exercise usually double how often they're working out, too.

So, if you've got an overachiever friend who says they work 75 hours a week and still manages to squeeze in six trips to the gym, just know it's more like 50 hours and three gym trips.
