It seems almost unreal that the Mollie Tibbetts case is nearly four years old. In the summer of 2018, the disappearance of the 20-year-old from Brooklyn, Iowa captured the attention of the entire state and much of the country. Now a new documentary focuses on the last day Tibbetts was alive.

The Des Moines Register reports that the new show is called Dateline: The Last Day. The new show streams on the Peacock streaming service and its premiere episode dropped yesterday. It focuses on the Mollie Tibbetts case and seven other cases that garnered national attention.

Tibbetts was a psychology student at the University of Iowa. She went out for a jog on July 18th of 2018 in her hometown of Brooklyn. She was never seen alive again. The Register reports that after being interviewed by police, Christhian Bahena Rivera led authorities to Tibbett's body in a cornfield. Rivera was charged with first-degree murder on August 18th, 2018. Following a lengthy trial, he was found guilty on May 28th, 2021.

Dateline: The Last Day's first episode featuring the Mollie Tibbetts case is streaming now on Peacock.
