Amber Tjaden, the 48-year-old daughter of a former mayor of Omaha, Nebraska is missing and her family, and police, are searching for answers to her whereabouts.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office says Amber, who is from Weeping Water, Nebraska just south of Omaha, was last seen by her husband Matthew last Wednesday, January 27.

KETV reports that court documents indicate her husband "never called to advise his wife was missing and he was the last person to have contact." When officials attempted to speak to Matthew, a pursuit ensued. Amber Tjaden's two sons were in the truck with him at the time.

Matthew has been released on bond, after being arrested on charges related to the pursuit, as well as child neglect.

Amber's daughter is the one who applied for a missing person report to be filed for her mother. She lives in Omaha.

Amber Tjaden was last seen behind the wheel of a 2019 black Jaguar F-Pace. The Nebraska license plate is 20-T 638. A photo of the vehicle is below. Anyone with information in the case is asked to call authorities at 402-296-9370.

Amber Tjaden's father is Jim Suttle, former mayor of Omaha, Nebraska. He told KETV,

Nothing has turned up to date, and here we are pushing into really the ninth day. We have her two young sons, 12 and 10 with us, and we're doing things to make sure they do their schooling each day, they have all the things they need as far as a warm house, a safe house. This is just really, really, it's just hard to put it into words the feelings that you have, but we have to go on and particularly pull forward with these two young boys.

Please join us in sharing this information, and praying for her safe return.
