I got to end my day at the Paramount Theatre tonight, where just prior to the doors opening for the final show of the current Broadway at the Paramount series, "Memphis", it was time to unveil the 2015-2016 Broadway at the Paramount season. I for one can't wait to catch at least one of the shows.

To recap, this past season brought us "Stomp", "Ballroom With A Twist", "Sister Act", and "Anything Goes", as well as "Memphis".  All were fantastic shows.  And as a former drummer, I love/loved "Stomp". It's just one of those shows I just can't get enough of, with one exception.  There's another show that wild, and wackier, and involves drumming, and occasionally paint, as well a men in blue.

That's right, Blue Man Group is returning to Cedar Rapids in 2016, with 2 shows, January 19th and 20th.  Sign me up!

But of course, there's more shows than just that coming.  The season kicks off with "I Love Lucy - Live On Stage" November 1st, which sound (and looks) like it'll be an absolute laugh fest.  On December 12th, we break out of the cold and head down to Vegas with the "Rat Pack is Back!", featuring uncanny vocal recreations of Sammy Davis Jr., Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Joey Bishop.  Blue Man Group will be here in January of 2016 as stated above, followed by "Ragtime" The Musical" with a special Valentines night show.  Finally, the season closes with everyone's favorite redhead orphan, "Annie", on April 14th.  You can never go wrong this fun tale.  No denying, it'll be another great season.

Tickets are not yet on sale for individuals, however they are on sale for season ticket holders and groups. To find out more, head here.
