Pinicon Ridge Park Highlighted Among Iowa’s Best

"99 Counties, 99 Parks" is an initiative to highlight county parks in Iowa and their use and exploration for recreation.

As the name implies, one county-conservation managed park is chosen for each county in the state, and for Linn County, it is Pinicon Ridge. A press release from the Linn County Conservation Board included a quote from ranger Aaron Batchelder, of Pinicon Ridge:

The 966-acre Pinicon Ridge Park in Linn County has been admired for its scenic natural beauty along the Wapsipinicon River in this hilly, heavily wooded area. This park features numerous trails, cabins and campgrounds, reservable lodges and shelters, a watercraft concession and so much more.
