Best known for his role as host and creator of the popular weekly comedy show, The Patriot Act, comedian Hasan Minhaj is making a stop in Cedar Rapids. He's got a number of credits under his belt.

Not only did his show premiere on Netflix in 2018, but it also received "a 2019 Peabody Award, a 2019 Primetime Emmy Award for 'Outstanding Motion Design,' and was recognized for a 2020 Television Academy Honor," according to a press release. Minhaj also was on The Daily Show from 2014 -2018, hosted the 2017 White House Correspondents' Dinner, and has a Netflix comedy special "Hasan Minhaj: Homecoming King" where he discusses what it's like being a first-generation American.

Now, we'll get to see him live. Hasan Minhaj is bringing his "The King's Jester" tour to the Paramount Theatre in Cedar Rapids on Saturday, March 19, 2022. Tickets go on sale this Friday, August 6 at 10 a.m. Tickets prices start at $44.50 and can be purchased either through CREventsLive.com or at the Paramount Theatre ticket office.
